Client Meeting Summary

Members in attendance: Ryan Rose, Ryan May, and Vito Urbano

In today’s client meeting, the following issues were discussed:

- Prototypes.

- Flash div web design.

- Live stats for administrator.

- Functionality.

- Results in Excel format.

The first matter of business was to finalize all ideas on prototypes so that the design phase of the project can be finished and delivered in time. The clients were asked to look at the prototypes and make any changes as they saw fit.

Ryan May then brought up the idea of maybe having a flash design to the website by adding div tags to the code. This would limit the amount of pages for the site and also make it look more modern and sleek. Dr. Lim would like to see a few prototypes of this functionality in order to make a final decision.

Another topic discussed was the live stats feature on the administrator page. We have not decided if we want to keep live stats of users and surveys on this page but Ryan May said that this functionality would be possible. Dr. Lim said it would be a nice feature to have but would not be required so this was added to our non-functional requirements.

Other functionality that was discussed was the banning survey function. Dr. Lim would like a permanent ban and require the teacher to resubmit their survey. In order for this to function smoothly another feature that may be required would be a copy question function. This means each question must have its own space in the database. For now banning will be done on a complaint basis. Also the survey list on the administrator page needs to be reviewed in order to make it more efficient and eye pleasing.

The final matter of business was the format of the downloaded data. Originally we had a text-based format but this must be changed to an Excel format in order to make it easier for the teacher user to organize the data. Dr. Paul would also like almost every answer numerical based when downloaded.

After the discussion on formatting, the meeting was brought to a close and the clients have asked to see updated prototypes with div functionality at our next meeting.
